The Oxygen Cleaning Course is tailored for dive technicians who have prior experience in the inspection and testing of diving and breathing gas cylinders. This course aims to expand their skill set and enhance the range of services they can offer.
COURSE DETAILS
The course focuses on providing the knowledge and practical skills necessary for oxygen cleaning diving and breathing gas cylinders. It is specifically designed for staff from existing IDEST Inspection or Test Centres.
Aim of the Course
By the end of this short course, students will be able to:
- Assess whether a cylinder is suitable for oxygen cleaning.
- Determine whether a cylinder can be safely filled with mixed gas.
- Complete all associated paperwork satisfactorily.
COURSE OUTLINE
The course is structured as a workshop lasting 6 to 8 hours. It begins with a short presentation covering the topics listed below, followed by a practical session where cylinders are assessed, cleaned using appropriate agents, and valves are oxygen cleaned and refitted.
