PADI TECH 65 TMX

Tim Lawrence is a highly respected technical diving instructor trainer with decades of experience in trimix and advanced diving, including cave and deep wreck exploration. As the owner of Davy Jones’ Locker (DJL) Diving and a founder of the SEA Explorers Club, Tim combines hands-on expedition expertise with high-level teaching credentials for ANDI, PADI, BSAC, TDI, IANTD, and RAID.

A Trimix course teaches divers to use helium-based mixes that extend depth ranges, minimize narcosis, and improve overall safety during deep dives. The Tec Trimix Diver training encompasses theory, gear prep, decompression skills, and multiple deep open-water dives. Entry generally requires advanced diver status, prior technical certifications, and at least 100 logged dives.

You'll master mixed-gas planning, optimal decompression, advanced equipment use (twinsets/sidemount, staged deco), and safe navigation of deep environments up to 90 meters. The course leverages Koh Tao’s accessible deep wrecks and pinnacles for real-world training, supported by some of the best facilities on the island.

Trimix certification is the gold standard for divers wanting to safely push depth limits, visit advanced wrecks, or engage in pioneering expedition work. It is vital for technical diving careers, allowing participation in global expeditions and making divers eligible for further instructor or leadership tracks.

Expect 4–7 days depending on conditions and experience. Packages cover tuition, gases, equipment (including stages and computers), certification, and guided dives on local deep wrecks such as HTMS Sattakut and others discovered by Tim’s team.
