PADI Instructor Development Course Amed, Bali

Welcome to an IDC paradise!

View of the volcano that overlooks your Amed, Bali IDC

When it’s time to escape from the busy area of Bali province, it’s time to head North east. Direction: Amed. http://www.dive-careers.com/indonesia-diving-internship-bali.html

Driving through fields, green zone, monkeys, Luwak Coffee area and breath taken scenery with the sea on one side and the dormant volcano on the other…the 2 hours drive in between Sanur/Denpasar and Amed goes pretty quick as your eyes will have a lot do absorb.

Driving through fields of green on the way to your Amed, Bali IDC

Once in Amed, you will realise that this location has everything you need. Feels like being on the country side, but with all necessary things around the corner.

Describe as “the most recent tourist development area in Bali”, you will find here long stretch of coast running from the village of Culik about 14 km eastwards incorporating the seven villages of Amed, Jemeluk, Bunutan, Lipah, Selang, Banyuning and Aas.

The drive is pretty impressive and a stop by one of numerous restaurants for a drink with a view on these beautiful black sandy beaches is a most.

Or heading to the “Sunset Restaurant” with a view from above is not a bad idea at all!

As if it wasn’t enough, driving further north to Tulamben, only takes 20 min by scooter. Tulamben is also all about diving! You will find there a few restaurant along the coast and of course, the place is famous for the Liberty Wreck, USAT Liberty was a United States Army cargo ship torpedoed by Japanese submarine in January 1942.

In 1963, the eruption of Mount Agung caused the vessel to slip off the beach, and it now lies on a sand slope in 9 to 30 m of water. The wreck is about 130 m long with the shallowest part at about 5 m deep and the deepest on the other side of the wreck at about 30 m deep.

We could keep on talking about the beauty and attractions of the place for ages actually! But best if you come and experience it yourself!

We basically put in what we believe will make you standing out from the crowd once Instructor.

The location is also perfect for your learning process. Right on the beach, we can even do lectures under the sun with our two feet in the black sand if we want!

We also have a pool right on the spot for skills practices, rescue workshop and confined presentation. And you are welcomed to jump in for extra whenever you want!

On top of all that, we can do Open Water dives right from the beach in from of the dive center. Just need to watch out for mimic octopuses, sea horses, clown frog fish and different kinds of ghost pipe fish…yes, it’s such a hard life we live!

For those of you interested in becoming Instructor in different specialties, we will of course explore even more areas during the MSDT training, which follows the Instructor Examination on the last 2 days of the IDC. And course, the Liberty Wreck is on the schedule!

Being one of the rare center with a boat in Amed, we can get there within only 25min.
