The IDC program will be as follows:
Pre- IDC (2 days), the IDC (10 days) and the PADI IE (Instructor Examination two days)
The pre-IDC is the time to get an idea of your demonstration skills and your knowledge about dive theory: Physics, Physiology, Decompression Theory, Recreational Dive planner, Equipment, Skills and Environment. We will also look at the PADI General Standards & Procedures. In the water, we will do a Skill Circuit which includes all the demonstration skills of the Open Water Diver Course.
During the 10 days, we will be focused on everything you need to learn to become a PADI Instructor. You will participate in academic presentations and we will be a lot in the water, doing Confined Water Presentations and Open Water Presentations. We will teach you the PADI structure so that you can teach it to your students in the best way. We repeat all the presentations several times and each time you will be evaluated by your Course Director and Staff Instructors.
After the IDC, you'll be ready for the PADI Instructor Examination. During these two days, the PADI Examiner will evaluate you on all the presentations in the classroom, confined and open water that you have practised during the IDC and there will be a Theory exam (Physics, Physiology, Recreational Dive Planner, Skills and Environment, and Equipment) and the General Standards & Procedures Exam.
The IDC also includes the Emergency First Responder Instructor Course, a big plus in your career, as with this certification you can teach your students the EFR course which is required for the Rescue Course and is recognized as a first aid certification.
In addition to that, an equipment workshop and Marine Reef Ecology Resource Management Seminar are added as an extra to the IDC Program for free.
