ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS DURING YOUR DIVING INTERNSHIP ON THE ANDAMAN ISLANDS, INDIA - We will find accommodation to suit your budget and needs. Below is an idea of nightly accommodation rates. During internships long term accommodation on Havelock and Neil Islands is available at discounted rates.
STANDARD HUTS
For travelers on a budget, the Standard Huts are a very good option and a good alternative over other comparaively priced budget accommodation options (if we may so ourselves). These basic but clean huts come with decent-sized beds (sized for adult humans, for a change), ample shelf space and a fan.
What sets them apart from other budget accommodation is the attention we have spent on the common toilet/showers. Ours are tiled, kept clean and offer hot water showers – in fact, we are the only place to get hot water showers, period. Mosquito nets (or electronic mozzie repellants, if you prefer) are also available.
Please note that Standard Huts are only available in conjunction with a diving package or course. For non-divers, may we suggest a Tented Cabana.

UPGRADED HUTS
We have upgraded some of the Standard Huts to include an attached bathroom, with open-roof showers and, in a fit of creative genius, called them Upgraded Huts. In other respects, they are the same as the Standard Huts above. For the budget conscious – especially those who, like us, think that a room is mainly for storing gear and sleeping – these provide an excellent value in rooms with attached bathrooms.
Please note that Upgraded Huts are only available in conjunction with a diving package or course. For non-divers, may we suggest a Tented Cabana.

TENTED CABANAS
These large and tastefully decorated Swiss-style (we have no idea why they are called Swiss-style, but they are) full-sized walk-in tents are of the same design as used by much more expensive resorts elsewhere.
Built on permanent plinths, these tents are decorated tastefully and exude coziness and comfort, with a lot of little touches which go a long way towards making your stay more enjoyable: plenty of plug points to make your life easier; ample storage space for your clothes; a balcony with rocking chairs for relaxing with a book; a powerful fan (no AC needed!) and electronic mozzie repellants (it works) or mozzie nets, whatever you prefer, and an en-suite bathroom (yep, hot water).
The rooms are not airconditioned, nor do we have any plans of putting in aircon. For starters, being beachside on a very green island, with minimal concrete development and lots of tree cover, means that even in the peak of summer, it is much cooler here than in cities (a fact we notice every time we leave the islands!). We get a cooling sea breeze in the day. And we have designed the rooms to have as much natural cooling as possible. The fan will provide more than enough cooling to let you sleep at night. So why boost your carbon footprint needlessly?
