Shark Ecology Course

The Shark Ecology Course inspires divers to learn about and help protect sharks. Sharks have long been the inspiration for legends and their reputation as the marauder of the seas has led to the indiscriminate demise of one of the oceans most important creatures. These apex predators are fundamental to manage the balance of an already fragile ecosystem.

The Shark Ecology Course will teach what you need to know about shark species, anatomy, breeding, and the vital role they play in our oceans. This one day course will include 2 lectures, a Shark Watch snorkeling trip and a Shark observation dive trip.

Use the Shark Ecology Course to learn how to collect data on the local shark population and submit images to Sharkbook (Wildbook For Sharks) which will be used to identify individual sharks in our region.
