TEC 40

What is covered in Tec 40?

PADI Tec 40 introduces you to technical diving using tec equipment and protocols while remaining close to recreational limits:

• Conduct limited decompression dives to 40 meters
• Use a single decompression gas up to EANx50 (50% oxygen)
• Basic gas management and technical planning skills
• Learn proper equipment handling, including backmount and sidemount configurations

Prerequisites:

• Certified as PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification)
• Certified as PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) or equivalent
• Certified as PADI Deep Diver or proof of at least 10 dives to 30 meters / 100 feet
• Minimum of 30 logged dives, with at least 10 dives deeper than 18 meters / 60 feet, using enriched air nitrox
• At least 18 years old
• Medical form signed by a physician within the last 12 months
