Many languages are spoken on board the AMBA. However, German and English are the main languages. The guests come mainly from German-speaking countries. Of course, we also warmly welcome any other nationality. Asian and Russian divers like to be among themselves and usually book boats where their language is the main language on board.
T-shirts and shorts or skirts are sufficient. It can sometimes rain, so we recommend taking a thin jacket with you. Our crew is very modern and has been used to dealing with tourists for 15 years. So you don't have to make sure that pants are long enough or that the shoulders are covered. There is no dress rule on board. However, it is desirable that shorts and outerwear be worn at mealtime. We strongly advise against taking too much laundry on board. It's hot in the Maldives. Experienced Maldives travelers have 2 shorts and 2 T-shirts as well as pretzels, chocolate and German coffee for the instructor in their luggage;)
