To enter and board the AMBA, every guest needs a negative PCR test result that must not be older than 96 hours from the time of departure in their home country. We ask you to read the official information of the Maldivian government before departure. Tourists must also register on the IMUGA website 24 hours before entering the country. If you are already in the Maldives and would like to do a so-called split stay on the Amba, we ask that you provide us with proof of a negative PCR test that must not be older than 24 hours before boarding. An antigen test will not be accepted and those who have already been vaccinated must also show a test.
A Covid-19 test must be taken one day before your departure, depending on the regulations of the airlines or home countries. For this purpose, we are organizing a mobile PCR test team that comes on board the AMBA immediately after entering the port in Male at around 4 p.m. on the day before departure. You will receive the result by email within 10-15 hours. The test costs 100 euros and must be paid for with the on-board bill. In the event that a guest or crew member tests positive, all passengers must be in an isolation hotel for 14 days. This costs between 70 and 200 euros a day and is selected by the Health Protection Agency.
Each guest bears the costs for himself. We expressly exclude recourse claims of any kind. On board the AMBA we act according to the hygiene concept for safari ships of the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldivian government. We offer and expect everyone to be treated responsibly. Passenger and the crew.
