MSDT KOH PHI PHI : PADI MSDT Prep Course
COURSE OVERVIEW
Training to become a specialty instructor on Koh Phi Phi with Julian Pirie means combining expert guidance, unbeatable dive sites for advanced skills, vibrant island life, and enhanced job opportunities worldwide in both resort and liveaboard sectors.
What specialty courses are best on Koh Phi Phi?
Koh Phi Phi is famed for diverse dive sites perfect for specialties like Wreck, Deep, Underwater Photography, and Shark Awareness. The Kled Kaew wreck offers the ideal setting for Wreck and Deep Instructor training at depths of 20–26 meters, with healthy marine life and strong visibility. Bida Nok and Bida Nai are renowned for beautiful corals, leopard sharks, octopus, and macro life, making them excellent for Shark Conservation, Fish ID, and Photography specialties.
Why train with Julian Pirie?
Julian Pirie is an award-winning PADI Platinum Course Director with more than a decade of experience developing instructors throughout Asia and Europe. His specialty courses combine academic excellence with practical, real-world experience, often in small groups to maximize learning and safety. Candidates benefit from personal career support via the Dive Careers network, extensive local knowledge, and Julian’s fun, supportive teaching style.
How do specialties improve employment options?
Specialty Instructor credentials open doors at liveaboard and resort operations across Southeast Asia, the Maldives, and beyond. Employers value instructors with fresh skills in Deep, Wreck, Shark Conservation, and Photography for guiding advanced dives and conducting niche courses. Liveaboard jobs, especially, require instructors who can teach deep and wreck diving reliably. Adding multiple specialties also helps boost earning potential, employability, and long-term career development.
Is the scenery and lifestyle really that good?
Koh Phi Phi offers a backdrop of limestone cliffs, turquoise coves, and bustling social life, making it a top choice for divers seeking both adventure and relaxation between courses. Specialty trainees enjoy daily dives in truly world-class locations plus evenings in a vibrant international community, with access to conservation workshops, photo seminars, and marine ecology programs.
What’s included in the Adventure Club specialty program?
Adventure Club provides full equipment rental, unlimited dives during the course (so you can log extra specialty experience), and guidance on running your own distinctive specialty programs after certification. You’ll also build a network with local dive professionals and have priority access to conservation and marine science initiatives tied to the dive center.
