New Team member Julian runs our PADI Divemaster Programmes on Koh Tao Thailand at Buddha View Dive Resort
While studying archaeology back in Canada, Julian completed his very icy OW certification in Lake Ontario in order to apply for research assistant positions. After summers spent working on Roman shipwrecks and sunken cities around the Mediterranean he became sure of two things diving was for him and archaeology probably wasn’t going to be a lifelong pursuit.
Working after grad for a consulting group didn’t appeal much either so he traded his suit for a wetsuit and headed off to become a diving professional. A two month trip to the Philippines to complete his instructor course ended up being a permanent move to the diving world.
Julian loves showing experienced divers new opportunities underwater especially those wishing to become professionals themselves. He teaches Deep, Digital Underwater Photography, Nitrox, Oxygen Provider, Sidemount, Wreck, and Dive Against Debris specialties in both English and French.
When not in the ocean, Julian enjoys sharing his knowledge of aquatic life and marine environments with all of his students. His divemaster courses have a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility both in and out of the water.
