To enroll, you must be a certified PADI Divemaster (or equivalent), have logged at least 100 dives, be 18 years of age or older, and hold a valid diving medical certificate issued within the last 12 months.

The IDC typically runs for around 2 weeks (12–14 days) including the Instructor Development Course itself, preparation workshops, and the PADI Instructor Examination (IE). Many students also extend their training with specialty instructor courses.

Absolutely. The Maldives offers ideal conditions for instructor specialties such as Wreck Diving, Shark Conservation, Deep Diving, Drift Diving, and Nitrox. Completing these specialties alongside your IDC makes you more employable and confident as a new instructor.
